🚀 BridgeVMS Release Update

As we head deep into the summer break, this release is a bit of a summer spruce up.  We've introduced a few new features, polished some existing functionality and cleared out a few bugs that had overstayed their welcome.  Nothing too flashy, just a smoother BridgeVMS and a few useful improvements to make everyday workflows that little bit easier. Here's what's changed👇

💬 What’s new?

• Improved job search by location: We've improved the location filter when searching for jobs, replacing the free text search with a work location picker.  You can now select multiple work locations at once and combine them with your other search filters to quickly narrow down the jobs you're looking for.  Remember, you can save these as your favourite searches using the star icon for easy access next time.
• New tax rule override: MSP users can now configure different tax treatment for Direct Engagement and non-Direct Engagement candidates.  A new top-level tax rule override, Direct Engagement Candidates, has been added to the tax module, giving you more flexibility when different tax rules need to apply.
• New invoice rule filters and groupings: Direct Engagement is now available as both a filter and grouping option within invoice rules.  Use it as a filter to apply different invoice rules to Direct Engagement and non-Direct Engagement candidates, or as a grouping to generate separate invoice documents for each.
• More tax calculation options in the Global Rate Change module: We've added two additional calculation type filters to the global rate change module for tax changes:
• On agency fee only
• On MSP fee only

• WBS code hours on timesheet PDFs now account for breaks: Timesheet PDFs containing WBS code intervals will now display hours inclusive of any break deductions.  This means the interval totals will align with the total hours shown on the invoice.  Previously, these intervals displayed the gross working hours before breaks were deducted.

🐞 Fixes & Optimisations:

Our summer clean-up has continued behind the scenes.  Here are some of the highlights:

• Placement approval validation - We fixed an issue where an object error could be displayed when approving a placement. The correct validation message will now be shown.
• National Insurance updates through Global Rate Change - National Insurance pay component values were not updating correctly on shift jobs when the number of job shifts differed from the number of shifts included in the Global Rate Change parameters.  This has now been resolved.
• Timesheet regeneration after Global Rate Changes - Timesheets were not always regenerating after rates were updated through the Global Rate Change module.  They will now regenerate correctly following a rate change.
• Timesheet data loader and WBS codes - We resolved an error affecting the timesheet data loader when processing timesheets containing WBS codes.
• Accept Offer pop-up now displaying correctly - We fixed an issue where the Accept Offer pop-up was not displayed when accessing a candidate submission by clicking the candidate status on a job, for example, 1 Offered.
• Additional bug fixes - Plus a collection of smaller improvements to keep things running smoothly.
