๐ BridgeVMS Release Update
This one's a tidy-up sprint. We spent it sharpening features you already use and clearing out a few bugs that had overstayed their welcome. Nothing flashy - just a smoother BridgeVMS.
Here's what's changed ๐
๐ฌ Whatโs new?
-
Clearer bank approval workflows: Creating a job that needs bank approval is now much less guesswork. You'll see a clear confirmation message when a vacancy is awaiting bank approval, and the right bank approvers still get the usual pending approval notification. We've also removed the empty distribution window from bank-only vacancies awaiting approval. MSP users can still distribute eligible vacancies to agencies before bank approval is complete.
-
Pay rate overrides by work location: Job templates now support a "work location" pay rate override - so you can set different rates per location for the same job title. Handy when geography and budget don't agree.
- Smarter job wizard categories: Tired of clicking into a category only to find no job titles behind it? The category list is now filtered dynamically: you'll only see active categories that actually have job titles configured. No more dead ends.
- WBS codes in the data loaders: WBS codes can now be included across three data loaders:
- Cost codes and WBS codes - we've extended the cost code data loader to include WBS codes
- Timesheet data loader - WBS intervals can now be added in the timesheet data loader where applicable
- Job import - WBS codes can now be added to jobs/placements added via the job import data loader
- Better bank-to-agency release timings: When a vacancy is distributed manually to bank, Bridge now applies your configured delay before automatically releasing it to agencies. Bank-only ticked jobs are exempt. Any subsequent agency release follows the relevant supplier tiering rules and individual release delays. The same logic applies to vacancies distributed later or sent to all bank workers via Bulk Request - and vacancies already distributed manually to agencies are unaffected by the release timings.
- Extra details on your invoices: There's a new "additional information" field at billing address level, so you can add free text that carries through to your invoices. To set it up, head to your Employer profiles and edit an existing billing address.
๐ Fixes & Optimisations:
Our clean-up crew has been busy behind the scenes ๐งน. Hereโs are the highlights of what's been sorted:
- Multiple tabs and edits - Jobs could be updated incorrectly from a stale edit session in an old open tab. A new validation now prevents it.
- Rate visibility - Pay component values were still showing when they weren't ticked under rate visibility. Fixed.
- Candidate Direct Engagement Status - This used to reflect candidate submission status. It's now based on the timesheet generated for the placement, so it's clear whether a candidate is working via Direct Engagement for that specific timesheet.
- Job status filter - The status of a job was showing incorrectly for some client users. Resolved.
- Candidate rate overrides on job templates - We resolved an issue where you couldn't add a candidate override if the agency/bank the candidate belongs to already had an override against it.
- Additional bug fixes - Plus a collection of smaller improvements to keep things running smoothly.
Thatโs a wrap for this release! A thoughtful collection of improvements and fixes to make everyday tasks clearer and key workflows easier to manage.
