šŸš€ BridgeVMS Release Update

Another release is here. There aren’t too many shiny new features this time around, but plenty has been happening behind the scenes. We’ve made some useful improvements, tightened up a few existing areas and squashed a collection of niggly bugs that had been lurking around.

 Here's what's changedšŸ‘‡

šŸ’¬ What’s new?

  • More control over monthly report schedules: We’ve improved how monthly schedules are configured in the Report Scheduler.  Previously, monthly reports were anchored to the date of their first completed run, which could mean they ran on a different day of the month than originally intended.

You can now select the specific day of the month a report should run, giving you much more predictable     scheduling.  Select day 31 and BridgeVMS will automatically run the report on the final day of each month, regardless of how many days that month has.

  • Daily job templates removed from Rate Times Matrix overrides: Daily job templates will no longer appear as an override option within the Rate Times Matrix. Daily jobs aren’t affected by Rate Times Matrix schedules, so we’ve removed the option to avoid unnecessary configuration and confusion.  Existing configurations with daily job templates are unaffected and will remain in place until manually removed.  New configurations won't show the daily job templates.
  • Site-wide end of placement feedback forms: End of placement feedback forms can now be configured at site level. Previously, these could only be set up through the Surveys section of an individual Employer profile.

Head to Main Site Settings > Surveys to configure feedback forms that can be used across the site.
  • More detail in candidate history: We’ve expanded the Candidate History Log so that more additions and changes to candidate records are captured, giving users a clearer audit trail of activity on a candidate profile.
  • Improved Restricted Workers management: The Restricted Workers section now includes a history log, along with an Active/Inactive status.  This makes it easier to manage restricted worker records while retaining a clear history of previous changes.

šŸž Fixes & Optimisations:

Our development team has been busy behind the scenes making BridgeVMS that little bit smoother.  Here are some of the highlights:

  • New evidence now supersedes waived compliance documents - We fixed an issue where a waived compliance document could remain in place even after new evidence had been uploaded for the same document type.  In some scenarios, this could leave candidates stuck in the compliance validation process.

Newly uploaded evidence will now supersede the existing waiver so the document can move through validation correctly.
  • Safer placement date changes where timesheets already exist - We’ve added additional validation around placement date change approvals.

Previously, if a request was made to bring a placement start date forward and, before that request was approved, a timesheet for the affected period was submitted and invoiced, approving the date change could result in those timesheets displaying zero hours.

BridgeVMS will now prevent the date change approval, where it would impact submitted or invoiced timesheets, protecting the existing timesheet data.
  • Invoice column sorting is working correctly again - We resolved an issue where sorting columns in the invoicing section by ascending or descending order could cause the data to disappear from the screen.  Sorting will now behave as expected.
  • Faster timesheet regeneration after shift date changes - We’ve improved timesheet regeneration where multiple shift date changes are made in quick succession.  This prevents older regeneration processes from interfering with newer changes and helps ensure timesheet dates remain aligned with the placement.
  • Net Agency Charge now includes MSP fee deductions correctly - We fixed the Net Agency Charge displayed on the timesheet grid where the agency is responsible for paying the MSP fee.  The value will now correctly account for the MSP fee deduction.
  • Agency-specific rates now display correctly on the job grid - The pay rate displayed on the job grid wasn’t always reflecting an agency-specific rate override.  This has now been resolved, so the correct agency rate will be shown.
  • Compliance configuration now respects the compliance feature setting - We fixed an issue where compliance could still be configured on instances where the UseCompliance feature was disabled, even though that configuration would not then appear within the job workflow.

Where compliance was already configured on an affected instance, the compliance feature has now been enabled, so the existing configuration is available as expected.  Users may need to log out and back in to see the change.
  • Additional bug fixes - Plus a collection of smaller improvements to keep things running smoothly.

That’s it for this release!  A solid mix of usability improvements, better auditability and background fixes designed to keep BridgeVMS running smoothly and make day-to-day workflows that bit easier.
