Bridge VMS Product Updates - October 20, 2026

BridgeVMS Release Update 🕰️

The clocks go back this Sunday in the UK (the US soon to follow), which means we’re all about to be handed a bonus hour. In that spirit, this release is all about giving you time back: preferred worker jobs that find their own way to the right agency, a smarter dashboard, and a good sweep of fixes to chase the ghosts out of the machine before Halloween.

Pop the kettle on. Here’s what’s changed👇

💬 What’s new?

  • Preferred workers, front and centre: Big one first. Already know who you want for a role? When raising a job you can nominate a preferred worker and the agency they work through, and that agency now gets a much clearer picture:
    1. The preferred worker and agency details show on the job for MSP users, client users and the nominated agency only. Every other agency sees a standard job, even if it’s outsourced to them later.
    2. A new Preferred Worker column on the jobs grid, with a hover tooltip showing the worker’s name, so there’s no need to open the job to check.
    3. A new Preferred Worker filter on the jobs grid.
    4. A new “Preferred Worker Jobs” dashboard widget for MSP, client and agency users, showing outsourced and submitted preferred worker jobs and linking straight through to a filtered job list.
    5. Clearer wording: “Ability to name candidate” is now “Nominate preferred workers” in category settings, and “Is a candidate already confirmed?” is now “Do you have a preferred worker?” in the job wizard.

  • Auto-outsourcing for preferred worker jobs: Preferred worker jobs now outsource themselves. If the nominated agency is on the distribution list, the job goes straight to them, and only them, skipping tier lead-times. Where job approval is switched on, it goes as soon as it’s approved. If the agency isn’t on the list, you’ll see a clear prompt explaining what to do next. Fewer manual steps, and a real win for clients running their programme without an MSP.
  • New custom report field - placement estimated total cost: “Placement Estimated Total Cost” is now available in the custom report builder. Forecasting just got a little easier.
  • Expenses-only uploads via the data loader: You can now upload expenses on their own to standard and expense-only timesheets through the data loader, no hours required. Handy where workers log their own hours and your team adds the expenses.
  • Consistent "Business Area" naming: On job templates, the Expenses, Rates and Priceworks tabs now say “Business Area” rather than “Location”, matching what you see when editing a rate card. Small change, less head-scratching
  • Branded pop-ups: The last of the plain browser pop-ups have been swapped for BridgeVMS dialogs that follow your branding and language settings. A more polished, consistent look across the platform, especially for white-labelled sites.

🐞 Fixes & Optimisations:

Our development team has been busy chasing a few things that go bump in the night. Highlights from this round:

  • Grouped statement invoices - Where statements are grouped by work location, PO or cost code, a supplier self-bill covering more than one group was appearing in full on each statement. Each statement now shows only its share, so totals reconcile correctly.
  • Invoice grouping by cost centre - Timesheets sharing a cost centre now land on the same invoice when the invoice rule is grouped by cost centre.
  • “Download PDF invoice and timesheet” - This option had gone missing from some invoices. It’s back.
  • Email template updates - Changes to your branded email template weren’t always being applied to outgoing notifications. They are now.
  • Placement date changes - Date change requests could get stuck in “Pending Approval” with no way to approve them. Sorted.
  • Days to fill reporting - Jobs filled by bank or internal pool workers now record a “filled” entry in the job history, so your days to fill stats add up.
  • Candidate submissions - Agencies couldn’t submit candidates who are paid directly by the client, as the compensation tab got stuck loading. Fixed.
  • Faster, more accurate list filters - Placement list filters now apply correctly and load promptly, and adding “Draft” to the job status filter no longer hides submitted jobs.
  • User time zones - Some users couldn’t save a new time zone on their profile. Fixed, and just in time for the clocks changing.
  • Additional bug fixes - Plus a batch of smaller fixes and stability improvements behind the scenes, including more reliable loading of logos and attachments.

That's a wrap 🎃

Fewer manual steps, cleaner numbers and a tidier interface, so you can spend that extra hour on something better. Like a nap.
