BridgeVMS Release: Back-to-School Edition

Sharpen those pencils, dust off the notebooks - summer’s over, but we’re still busy making BridgeVMS smarter, smoother, and a little more fun.  Here’s what made the syllabus this time 👇

💬 What’s new?

  •  Timesheet document upload feature:  Submit your timesheets with attachments!  Users can now upload supporting documentation before submitting timesheets, as standard.  Additionally timesheet approvers can also add supporting files when approving or disputing a timesheet.  Just enable this in the Employer category settings under “Enable document upload upon approval/dispute” if you want to add this additional feature.
  • Un-dispute timesheets: Made a mistake marking a timesheet as disputed?  No detention here, you can now “un-dispute” it and send it back to “pending” status (as long as the candidate hasn’t already re-submitted).
  • Edit compliance requirements on the job: You can now tailor compliance requirements directly in the job wizard or edit them later via the job “details” page (just hit the ✏️ next to compliance requirements).  Don’t worry, the compliance requirements from the job template will still display as default when creating the job.
  • Add compliance requirements to placements: Need a document after a candidate’s already started or been confirmed?  You can now add post-confirmation compliance requirements directly to “active” placements.  Simply click the “ellipsis” on the active placement and click “Add compliance document”.
  • Compliance validation exemption on document types:  We’ve added a new checkbox “Exempt from compliance validation” on document types and when adding a document requirement to a job template.  Use this when a document type shouldn’t require MSP validation.
  • Timesheet notes improvements: We tidied up timesheet notes: they now live in the activity log, complete with timestamps and aligned with other activity-based notes.
  • Restricted workers improvements: Restricted workers in the restricted workers section now show their unique identifiers, making them easier to track.
  • Mobile UI improvements: We’ve made some tweaks to certain areas of the mobile UI to make it look a little nicer and clearer for users.  No more overlapping fields.

🐞 Bug Fixes & Optimisations:

Like a teacher with a red pen in hand, here’s what we corrected:

  • Timesheets “pending” status – Default filters were too clingy.  Now your searches won’t auto-stick to “pending.”
  • Approved timesheets not generating for invoicing – Rare, but fixed.  All approved timesheets now flow through as expected.
  • Expense attachments stuck  Attachments now remove smoothly instead of getting stuck.
  • Agency submission notes now visible to client users – Agency submission notes are now visible to client users.
  • Job template history log – No more mislabelling.  Added/removed qualifications now show correctly in history logs.
  • Other smaller bug fixes  Quietly making the system run like a well-behaved classroom.

That’s it for now.  More compliance upgrades are on the timetable, plus a bigger project is slowly coming to the boil behind the scenes.

Got feedback?  Need a hand?  Or just want to share your best back-to-school story?  Drop us a note via BridgeVMS Support.

Until next time, stay sharp, stay curious, and don’t forget your packed lunch. 🍏
