Bridge VMS Product Updates - April 29, 2025

New season, new features! With spring finally in bloom, we’re back with a fresh BridgeVMS release. While we’ve been heads-down planting seeds for some major new projects (👀 stay tuned), we couldn't resist dropping some upgrades to keep your workflows growing strong.

💬 What’s new?

• • Partial payment functionality for invoicing:  Not every client pays in full (awkward).  MSP users can now mark client invoices as partially paid and track the outstanding balance directly from the grid view.  Easier tracking, less guesswork. Partial payments for supplier invoices is coming soon.
  • WBS codes – additional settings:  More control for your WBS codes: make them mandatory, let employer users manually type them, or assign them by user. Configure your setup under category settings, just like putting the right flowers in the right beds. 🌼
  • Compliance document viewing:  You can now preview compliance documents directly in a window!  Validate documents straight from the preview pane too.  Less clicking, more doing.  Efficiency: officially in full bloom. 🌸
  • Compliance waivers for missing documents: Missing documents?  No sweat.  MSP users can now upload waivers directly from the compliance validation dashboard if required.  Quick fix, no fuss.
  • Save your favourite job searches: Built your perfect search?  Save it!  Just click the ⭐ next to the search bar.  Find jobs faster than bees find blossoms. (Coming soon to placements, timesheets, and invoices too!)
  • Invoice rules update – grouped by cost code: Need to set up an invoice rule to split invoices out by cost code?  Now you can, with a new “group by cost code” option in invoice rules. 
  • Employer users can download invoices: Employer users with invoicing access can now download their client invoice PDFs without needing to chase anyone.  Spring = self-service empowerment.
  • Candidate profile creation: We cleaned up the candidate profile creation flow: info links are clearer, the consent box is easier to find, addresses save faster, and adding a contact number is just there, no extra clicks required.  Fresh and breezy.
  • New invoice address placeholder for email notifications: Want to help finance users sort invoices faster? Add an invoice address placeholder to your client invoice notification emails.  Optional but handy. 🌻 (Find it under Site Settings > Notification Templates.)
  • Qualification questions display improvement: Candidate qualifications questions are now easier to read when viewing submissions.  A little visual polish for a lot more clarity.
  • Employer users can now unapprove timesheets: Approved too soon?  No worries.  Employer users listed as timesheet approvers can now unapprove timesheets (before they’re invoiced) if they need to make a change.

  🐞 Bug Fixes & Optimisations:

  We've done a little spring cleaning!  Here's what we trimmed, tweaked, and tidied:

  • Placement duration edits - You can now shorten a placement without needing to pick a new approver if placement date change approval is active. Less admin, more action. 
  • OT strategy fixes – Previously, switching a job’s OT strategy to "none" meant you couldn’t add one later. We fixed that bug—edit strategies freely again.
  • Report scheduling on time, every time – Scheduled reports had a habit of showing up late. We’ve whipped them into shape.
  • Candidates now see placement date changes – Candidates weren’t getting updates to their assignment views when placement dates changed. Definitely not ideal.  It’s fixed!  No one’s left out of the loop now.
  • Mobile display tweaks – A few parts of the site were looking a little wild on mobile.  We gave them a haircut.
