Bridge VMS Product Updates - May 20, 2025

☀️ Long Weekend Loading… But First, a Fresh BridgeVMS Drop

With Memorial Day in the US and the Spring Bank Holiday in the UK just around the corner, we’re packing up our digital picnic basket and heading into the weekend with some hot-off-the-press features. Whether you're beach-bound or sofa-stationed this weekend, this release is here to make your BridgeVMS experience brighter than a daffodil in full bloom.

💬 What’s new?

• Save your favourite searches (now in more places!): Favourite searches just expanded to placements, timesheets and invoices.  You can now find everything you need, but faster.  Click the ⭐ in the search field to save your search, and access them by clicking the big ⭐ in each section. 
  
• Invoice Reminders:  Chasing unpaid invoices just got easier.  MSP users can now send a one-click reminder to all client finance users right from the accounts receivable section.  Want to customise the message?  Head over to the notification templates and edit away.  Be as passive aggressive as you please!
• Purchase Order Upgrades:  You can now edit budget names and see a budget status in the PO grid view.  If the budget has expired or its balance is zero or negative, it’ll show as Completed, otherwise it’ll show as Active.  Helpful to see the status of each budget at a glance.
• Restricted Worker Function Improvements: When adding a candidate to the restricted worker list in the main site settings, you can now add all clients to the worker’s profile (if required of course!) instead of having to individually select each one.  Small efficiency gains. 
• Document Visibility Controls: MSP users can now hide compliance documents from client users on the job and candidate submission view.  Head over to the job templates compliance document section to activate.  Because sometimes, less is more.    
• Notes On Candidate Profiles: There’s now a dedicated notes section on candidate profiles for MSP users only.  A great tool for tracking specific information against a candidate profile for your internal team. 
• Supplier Submission Limits Updates: Supplier submission limits are now editable on both the job distribution page and within a distributed job.  That means more control, less faff.  Bulk updates are coming soon!
• Pin Your Favourite Reports 📌: Got a favourite report you run, but the report title starts with a letter way down the alphabet meaning you have to search or scroll for ages?  We’ve got your covered.  Introducing our new report pinning function.  You can no pin your go-to reports to the top of the list so it’s visible every time you visit the reports page.  Your future self will thank you.
• Compliance Validation Improvements: You can now validate compliance docs directly from the job submission window, not just from the dashboard. That’s one less tab to open. You’re welcome.

🐞 Bug Fixes & Optimisations:

We've done a little spring cleaning!  Here's what we trimmed, tweaked, and tidied:

• Expired PO numbers – Timesheets with expired PO numbers will no longer pull through to invoicing.  They will now drop into the “PO Outstanding” section awaiting a PO update. 
• Job distribution weirdness – Fixed a glitch where tier 2/3 agencies were getting job alerts even though the job was already filled prior to the schedule distribution time.  We’ve put a stop to that.  No more ghost jobs!
• Document previews on mobile – These were acting shy. We gave them a confidence boost and now they load as expected.
• Shifts in calendar view – Shifts in the calendar view were showing one day out.  Whoops!  We’ve fixed this now.
• Other smaller bug fixes – Too small to mention individually, but no less important!
