🚀 BridgeVMS Release Notes - New Year, New Polish

New year, fresh release.  We’re kicking things off with a tidy bundle of improvements designed to make BridgeVMS clearer, smoother, and better to use as we head into the year ahead.  Let’s take a look 👇

💬 What’s new?

  • Weekending date on timesheets:  Timesheets now include a weekending date in the summary section.  Even better, it’s part of the timesheet object too, which means it’s now fully reportable.  One small addition, lots of reporting clarity.
  • More control over compliance on jobs: We’ve introduced a new category-level setting that lets you decide whether client users can edit compliance requirements, both in the job wizard and on existing jobs.  Head over to the Category Settings > Compliance Tab to check out the new setting "Allow client users to edit compliance on jobs".  By default, compliance stays locked down to MSP users, but you can switch this on when flexibility is needed.
  • Compliance expiry notifications:  Suppliers will now receive an email notification when a compliance document is nearing expiry.  Fewer last-minute scrambles, better compliance all round.
  • Login form improvements:  A few subtle tweaks to the login experience to make getting into BridgeVMS just that little bit smoother.  Same destination, better journey.
  • Clearer history logs for rate changes: Placement history logs now show exactly what changed when rates are updated.  No more detective work required.
  • Under-the-hood enhancements: We’ve made a number of foundational improvements to how BridgeVMS is built and delivered, strengthening reliability, and how quickly improvements reach you.  You might not see these changes, but you’ll feel the benefits as the year unfolds.

🐞 Fixes & Optimisations:

New year, fresh clean-up.  Here’s a snippet of what we sorted:

  • Bulk timesheet processing – You can now mark timesheets as processed or paid in bulk when multi-selecting timesheets filtered to a particular status.  Bug squashed.
  • Deactivated users receiving notifications – Future scheduled notifications will no longer go to users who've since been deactivated.  Peace restored.
  • Data loader errors Issues affecting the job import and job template data loaders have been resolved.  Uploads should now behave themselves.
  • Duplicate shifts - We’ve fixed a bug that allowed duplicate shifts to sneak into shift jobs.  Validation is back doing its job.
  • Other small fixes: The quiet kind that don’t get headlines, but make everything run better.

That’s it for this release!  A solid start to the year, with bigger things already lining up behind the scenes.
