Bridge VMS Product Updates - June 09, 2025

☀️ Summer Shorts: Your BridgeVMS Mini-Release

Pack light, it’s a quick one this time.  While the dev team’s been hard at work behind the scenes on something big (👀), we’ve still managed to sneak a few time-saving treats into this release.

💬 What’s new?

• Create new jobs for remaining dates (without the admin sunburn): When you fill a job but your candidate’s availability only covers part of the required dates, we’ve got your back.  Update thecandidate’s dates on the status change page, and we’ll ask if you'd like to spin up new jobs for the remaining dates.  Click “OK,” and you’re cruising, the system handles the rest.  No duplicating previous jobs, no calendar chaos.
• New Data Loaders – Cost Codes & Reason Codes now boarding:  Roll out new clients faster than ever.  You can now upload all cost codes (and assign them to users), plus bulk upload reason codes in one go.  Templates await you in Settings > Load Data.  It’s basically onboarding with reduced admin and more iced coffee.   
• Data loader improvements (a tune-up for your import kit):  We’ve given a few of our data loaders a once over to make them more efficient.  Here’s what’s new:
  
  
  • Job templates data loader - Now with checkbox settings, compliance docs, qualification questions, OT strategies (US only), timesheet formats (US only), and expense settings.  Less fiddling after upload, more instant job template magic.
  • Candidate data loader – You can now add qualifications, meaning smarter searches from the get-go.
  • Job import data loader – Custom fields tied to employer profiles can now be included, giving your imported jobs and placements that extra level of polish.

🐞 Bug Fixes & Optimisations:

We did a little pre-summer tune-up.  Here's what we cleaned, patched and made breach-ready:

• Compliance loop closed – Candidates were getting stuck in compliance validation if multiple document versions existed at profile creation.  We’ve put an end to that eternal loop.  Now only fresh, relevant validations will trigger.
• Search invoices issue – Fixed a glitch where searching for invoices wasn’t showing what you’d searched for. 
• Filled jobs mysteriously switching back to “submitted” status when edited – We tracked down the cause, sent it packing, and now your filled jobs will stay put.
• Other smaller bug fixes – Too minor to spotlight, but they’ll help keep everything running just a little smoother!
